My Post Secondary Goals
Are you interested in pursuing higher education after you leave high school?
I do intend on pursuing higher education after high school. I attend on majoring in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. I plan on obtaining a Masters Degree in either of those specialties.

Have you investigated the types of colleges/universities that would match your interests/needs/environment?
After high school, I plan on attending either Virginia Tech, Clemson, North Alabama, Kennesaw State, Alabama, or Georgia. All of these schools provide both Chemical and Mechanical Engineering, as well as having those big/small school feels I am looking for. They also offer me many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, as well as have that higher standard of education I am looking for.

What kind of work would you like to do?
After college, I plan to look in the specific fields of either oil or gas, where I would work on an Offshore Oil Rig or work for a space program. Both of these opportunities allow me to use either a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree to its fullest.

What kind of training will you need for that work?
Besides the Degree of Engineering, specific to oil and gas, I would have to obtain several safety course certificates, as well as up-to-date guidelines on the newest technologies. For a space program, It would require me to obtain safety certifications, as well as government background checks, to ensure I am the right person to work the job.

What kind of environment would you enjoy working in?
I prefer to work in the types of environments that require difficult, long, and tedious work for long periods of time, that in return are very rewarding.
